>>15022001Kuzuha is amazing at reading chat actually. Gray names, members, and superchats of varying prices.
However he doesn't do gay shipping teetee on his own, in fact he calls it gross when Kanae jokingly calls him pet names, and Kanae doesn't allow Kuzuha to call him pet names either (not that Kuzuha would want to) Maybe a year or two ago they did more blatant teetee, but even then it was under the guise of "management is making us answer what we like about each other again". Otherwise they are close friends, but men obviously can be friends and securely heterosexual.
Sure, playing duo games with an ASMR mic on their unit channel, or visiting each others hotel room during events, and night time twitcasting can be twisted into something gay, but that's it. Fujos get enjoyment from the implications of normal life, not anything actually happening the same way /u/ pandering happens with girls groping each other or calling each other wife.
>Kanae is at Kuzuha's place tonight to see his puppy? IMAGINE>Kuzuha remarked that Kanae is good at jumping when he was in a concert? IMAGINE>Kanae brought food from a cafe he likes to their meeting? IMAGINE>They both tweeted that they left the house even though later they laughed at fans who IMAGINED since they were doing seperate things? >okay but IMAGINESame goes for any shounen anime or manga. The boys are friends so this gives an avenue for imagine-tier fantasies of what if they got together and fucked. Everything is a hint towards fanfiction and fantasty. Kanae's been more sexual regarding talk with other men (jokingly), women, or in solo stream, than he does with Kuzuha.
If the EN guys want to pull in the audience literally all they have to do is be friends and set fan boundaries early to avoid schizos (which are inevitable). Chronoir enjoys a big boost from all the merch and shilling, but there are other male friendships that happened naturally that ended up getting big in JP shipping sphere rather than management going "you two go do a duo zatsudan"

>>15022350This is true and the fans they want to retain are fans who will watch the guys play what they like, instead of zoomers who get confused when they aren't being pandered to. Potential long time fans also like to see passion or someone who is invested in what they're streaming. That's what makes Kuzuha Valorant fun for me to watch even if I will never touch the game. He is hyped, remarking on what he can do better, shit talking, or doing the occassional crazy play.
