Yes they are immensely popular despite their massive massive debuffs (permissions, platform), they're just outdone by HoloJP. HoloJP are in the very very unique position of:
-not having vtubers be considered cringe shit in their country
-insular viewership forced to watch JP streamers because they can't fucking speak eigo, but concentrated in one time zone.
