>>15039204Nah the pandemic was a buff to both holo and niji, they both had a lot of clips going for them.
Also flooding the market was one of the worst things for several different reasons -
1. Lack of managers : Even holo has sometimes 4-5 talents per manager but they actually do their job and manage the talent's schedules + out of stream help, but biggest thing is that they prevent yabs wherever possible. Niji management being super hands off is what caused the Meiro yab, and it's very likely to be the reason that the livers with low views are not able to change their game (dunno if the 2view nijis even have managers desu).
2. Dilution of value : Same thing that happened back when Atari was at the peak of its dominance. In 2019, a "Nijisanji Liver" was for the most part, a guarantee for quality. If every single chuuba that they flooded the market with were superstars, even that would only get them to AKB48 level. And of course, since that was not the case, watching a chuuba with "Nijisanji" next to their name no longer meant anything.
3. Group identity : Big thing troubling the Nijis, which they are trying to rectify with NijiEN. The chuubas on the higher end managed to form collab groups among themselves like Chronoir, Gunkan etc. but these were more like indie groups since they very rarely collabed with other such groups. And again, no management, no one to teach the lower end chuubas this stuff, so they had to make do with what connections they could make themselves. This flood also fucked up integration, because obviously your existing talents are not going to get to know every single one of the 50 people they just became coworkers with. And so it just becomes this loosely connected indie type group, instead of a strong identity oriented group.
