Its not hard to read between the lines.
The only reason a company massively shifts their policies or guidelines to the detriment of their profits is they got whacked by legal bullshit(anycolor forcing them to nuke niji doujins), their owners/shareholders are using it to push their own morals at the expense of profit, or payment processors are forcing them to do so, which usually only happens after some legal incident brings it to light in the first place.
