They weren't asking for Haato to be punished for example, only Coco, the Chinese bilibili/youtube sub group HololiveMoments even complained about Haato's suspension when both Coco and her got suspended.

Another funny thing that happened is when Gwelu from Nijisanji made a stream talking and explaining about the politics of China and Taiwan, and Bilibili actually thought it was funny and clipped it over there:
