Nah, jewtube wouldn't have anything between the two companies. What I meant was the initial deal between fromsoft and Anykara. My first thought was that they could play those games without any sort of monetization other than being able to archive the vod afterwards. But all NijiEN is playing is the fact that they're capitalizing playing Sekiro/Darksouls with streamlabs on since the majority of their income goes to streamlabs first, not SCs.

Why do you think investors care if Mysta want to focus on JP / SEA market or if Vox (intentionally or accidentally) skirt some permission rules? As long as they bring numbers (various, included but not limited to CCV and donations) - for example, having a decent amount of audience - which 4k-8k for EN and 150-200k for JP big events are more than enough - investors wouldn't give a fuck

If I was looking at the numbers as an advertiser, I'd ask for regional breakdown, gender, age and such to figure out if sponsorships make sense. Like, giving a sponsorship aimed at NA audiences to the NijiEn guys would actually be a pretty bad investment if their audience is majority SEA/ESL/JOP. Vice versa, an ad aimed at those regions would be perfect for Mysta and Vox. It's also about perspective. If their goal is to break into the NA market, as an investor, of call into doubt a claim of 'great success' on that front if I asked for and looked at the demographics data and it showed majority SEA.

Because it's doubtful that their plan can be seen long term. From all the internal yabes and talents not being paid, there are risks to be found that could jeopardize their longevity. Their first question would always be, will things be the same one or two years later? Will there not be any internal drama and stuff? Will I still earn money after being promised from all the shit this speaker deck presentation? Same goes for HoloAlt and their game, but it'll still attract/hook investors just because a game built with pre-existing fans are likely to be successful. It's up to the game devs themselves now.

I think this is both true and underselling it. Korone, Fubuki, Miko etc did the groundwork and captured the most intense weebs, but Myth obvious captured the more casual fans as well. You can argue that to an extent, HoloEN was the same. Yes, they definitely brought in new fans, but the situation was primed by clips and LiveTL.
Now, I think that the SEA fanbase is probably the same, since if these dudes are ESL only, then they're likely relying on translated clips and shit. I've also seen some comments indicating that these blokes are their first vtubers.
NOW, I'm always a fan of more data, so if for some unfortunate reason all they did was leech the NijiJP fanbase, that would be...unfortunate, but well, more streams and more data will let us try and puzzle out if that's the case or not.

Nah, difference between HoloEN and NijiEN is that HoloEN streams at their own timeslot. Fans during that time aren't likely to be the same fans cultivated by their JP senpais in the same timeslot. Some would be fans due to clips but aren't able to enjoy the experience in their timeslot so they watch EN. It's a combination of both old and new fans. Look at the USD/CADs ENs usually receive. For NijiEN male wave, they're literally leeching on the fans cultivated from their senpais which is why numbers are bloated for them in some sense as compared to their female branch mates.

In terms of impact, do you see this as benefiting niji or holo more? From how well it's doing I assume it not only pulls viewers that's not familiar with either company, at 500k+ viewers it's also becoming an entrypoint for people who aren't faimilar with vtubers.

Seeing the clipper's history, their content seems biased more towards holo in the past, but from the generally clickbaity title and use of tags, they're obviously just doing what gets them the most clicks.

I dont know what happen in Hololive but the recline is way too much. The 10k - 15k member still keep their numbers. The problem is top tiers suddenly become mid tier. Pekora, Miko, Fubuki, Subaru, they all lost 10k. Especially Pekora who lost more than 15k. There are no serious yab. So the only reason i can think about is viewbot.

That's a common assumption but obviously no one has confirmed that. None of the Council are as loose-lipped as Kiara but none of them have even hinted about waiting a long time for debut or being delayed or whatever, so there's really no substance to it other than being later than what people initially guessed. Remember that Coco told them she was graduating in like February and while there may have been a period where they were negotiating to keep her, the whole thing wasn't a *surprise* internally, just to fans. They had plenty of time to schedule Council debuts around it if they wanted to.

The thing about Sana is she sucks even as a test case. The design is so bad it's hard to tell how much of the bias against her is her skin and how much is the rest of the design. And that's just predebut. Post debut you have the voice and streaming times and content muddying the waters even more.

I'd like a Holo or Niji EN with a design like Sara Nagare from PRISM, a really solid and attractive design, to see how much the skin hurts it. Granted Sara looks more middle eastern than black but it's still a departure from standard anime white girls.

Yeah Mysta's stream is a constant TTS from his streamlabs donations. In fact nijis are now offering reaction on screen but only if you donate through streamlabs, strongly encouraging people to use streamlabs.

Also the monetization streams were not advertised. Vox just showed on stream one day and said "oh by the way monetization is on", it wasn't like a big event or something

This has been answered multiple times over several threads. Game has been played to death and she keeps dying over and over. She's essentially just practicing now. I do think though, that most e-celebs would be better staying off twitter. Just use it to promote your streams, songs, and merch. Ideally just get your manager to run it for you. Gura gets this perfectly correct.

I think it might have to do with how easy it is to search up a specific talent's channel for hololive vs Nijisanji.
Like, you go search for Pekora ch? The first result is Pekora's YT channel so the term HOLOLIVE never even gets searched.
Now I'm a bit too lazy to bother with Nijisanji, but I wonder how easy it is to find a given liver's channel just by slapping their name into youtube. Does it give you their channel first? A bunch of clips? If you need to add にじさんじ to help find the channel as the first hit, that's definitely going to influence how often the term gets searched.
