Like are my skills from CTR transferrable or is it actually noticeably more difficult to drive a bike vs. a cart or to pick the wrong glider, etc. I'm not pretending I could be world champion instantly but I just want to know if I'm wrong to have my mind blown at how bad they can be. Were games just easier when I was young and I've gotten out of touch? I thought the trend tended to go the other way (games becoming easier) but they really make the game look like it's a challenge.

From an outside view the checkpointing seems far more generous when you die as well.
