Obviously I can't speak for other Nijifags, but it's not like I have any problem with Hololive itself. I just can't stand the kind of Holofag who only watches Hololive and genuinely believes they're the only worthwhile vtuber group, and especially the ones who then shit on everyone else because of that.
And maybe there are some Nijifags like that, but at least in my experience when indies and small companies come up in Niji generals the response is mostly positive. It's just Hololive that people hate there (and again I think that's less "Hololive is bad" and more "Holofags are obnoxious").

This. I was into Hololive heavily until a month before Obsydia debuted. By then I was with Hololive since their Gen 4.

Didn't like Myth's collabs or solo streams much anymore. Liked NijiENs more. Niji also has a less annoying clipping community.

Was never into idol culture either. Their Lives were impressive being my first exposure to them though.

Nijisanji is mainly a normie simulator (with a few exceptions) while Hololive had mostly real introverts in it.

It makes sense that they would fight each other as their fan base reflect the vtubers.
It's the same thing as the constant fighting between reddit and 4chan.

It's pathetic how little Cover does for the talent. At least NijiEN's staff helps them with networking, organizing big events, song production, etc. and is pretty quick about trying to get permissions.

Let me explain the difference.

Although they claim not to be, hololive is much more like an "idol company". They hire girls for their talent in a specific field. Like art, singing, voice acting....etc. They also keep the girls away from males, and are basically selling a pseduo-girlfriend experience. The girls are pure seiso virgins, and nobody can say otherwise.

Nijisanji talents are better described as "streamers" instead of "idols". They are not really hired for their talent, but for their ability to put on an entertaining stream. They are also often hired because of their friendship with current Nijisanji talents, thus you get tons of friendship collabs. They don't care about intergender collabs, girls freely stream with males and curse as much as they want. Some of the Japanese streamers are openly married, and talk about their sex habits and such. You'd never see that in Hololive.

The business strategy is also much different. Hololive likes to heavily promote their talents before debut. Building up for months and months, before finally debuting and getting massive numbers of subscribers. They do the same thing for outfit reveals and such, lots of buildup and keeping people waiting, deliberately.

Whereas Nijisanji is much more about volume. Pushing out wave after wave of talents in short succession with only a modest amount of promotion. The Nijisanji boys were announced, and released literally a week later. It's only been like 6 months and Nijisanji already has 15 English livestreamers, while Holoive has taken a full year to release 11 of them.

The ironic thing is that Nijisanji has the reputation for being more "lewd", and yet look at the difference in the models. The lewedst model the English Nijis have is Elira's, she's the only one who even has boob physics. Whereas the hololive models often have huge floppy breasts, exposed waists, short skirts.....etc.

Nijisanji's reputation for being crazy is mostly misleading anyway. It's just that they have SOME real weirdos and high level perverts, but it's not the norm at all.
That said, yeah, we can only hope they'll go lewder for the alternate outfits (if the liver wants it, of course. I can see Finana going for that, for instance).

I hate everything about them and the culture they bring to vtubing. Just a corporate as fuck assembly line approach to the hobby.
