Her eyes are a little smaller (shorter) than a typical anime avatar and her nose is different. Is that reason to hate her? Who knows.

Literally that's just it. If all of HoloEN had radically different styles for each of them, it would be a different story. But they're not. All of their styles conform to what you'd see in contemporary anime, while Irys looks like a MTG card. It's completely off-brand from Hololive, you'd think she was a guest from a different agency. Like what if a future holo is just a full on Kemono? That's kind of how I feel about it. Roboco's weird robo legs and Sana's 2001 face design also filter me a bit. Petty reasoning aside, they're all good streamers.

It's really just the nose. It's like someone made a misguided attempt at turning the anime not-nose into a real one, polished that turd for hours and then kept it instead of rightfully canning it and settling for the usual dot/line "nose".

If I can give an acceptable reason on why some people here, normies and non-vocals IRyStocrats are off about her, it’s like someone just drew a sketch, added paint and put the design in the Live2D and done. That’s it. You can notice it on her hair, shoulders and fingers, all the budget went to her crystal wings and eyes.
