Gachikoi are the most ideal audience. Gachikoi both have unicorns and not unicorns. Appealing to unicorns is simply covering all your bases. Furthermore unicorns don't require "a relatonship with your audience" your conflating them with gachikoi. Also unicorns are supposed to have a clause about not being used goods but a lot of unicorns forget that. Unicorns also hate almost any form of male interaction, not just dating.
Anyway Kson still has plenty of ideal gachikoi despite very clearly not fufilling the requirements for unicorns at all as kson (due to interactions with males).
Ayame has a bunch of gachikoi while her roommate has enough rrats about dating that whether it's true or not it should 100% filter out unicorns, though that's a bit more complicated of whether the people left are only there for the character.
Unicorns are not the ideal fanbase. Cucked gachikoi like Lyger are the ideal fans because you can get away with anything. Simply Lygers are rare; there is a significant portion of gachikoi that, if drama got popular that you are dating, will disappear, and significant enough portion that are unicorns, that you would rather appeal to unicorns then not.
