I assume it's for people who're unironic weebs who think everything japanese is le super amazing. But it's just a nice looking fancy robe. The wings on the front don't look that good, although I do still get what look she was going for (like a Japanese lord IIRC).
It's ultimately a matter of personal taste. Mine just happens to be that I like things a bit more intricate and unique, and off the beaten path. This is sort of the same reaction I have to vtubers with school uniforms or school swimsuits. They look nice, but they're not bastions of originality. And I suppose I see new outfits as an opportunity to go all out and make something truly tailored to the character itself. But I guess that's easier said than done, and everyone's a critic.
Anyway, that's just my half cent.
