Relatively few people watch the entire stream.

I don't remember the precise stats from memory, but it was something around the lines of "most viewers watch either a couple minutes or about a quarter of the whole thing"

A pool in the first 5 minutes or so is representative of the CCV. After that it accumulates.

That's why when you watch a stream that kept a solid 2k viewers throughout the vod immediately goes up with, like, 30k views.

Its amazing the lack of understanding people have about the cull and numbers in general.

The NijiEN males are not being culled at all, not a single bit. The numbers thread has a couple theories why and it mainly has to do with a couple things.

1. They tapped into an untapped SEA market that didn't watch vtubers until they debuted so none of those accounts are flagged yet

2. They have barely any overlap with other NijiEN fans or Hololive fans in general. Unlike the NijiEN girls who have huge overlap with HoloEN and are getting culled hard

3. They don't have memberships open yet. For some reason it seems that paid accounts (members/youtube premium) are more likely to get flagged as bots. We don't know the reason for this but it seems to be the case.

This we don't know exactly. The only thing we do know is that their audience is primarily SEA. Their viewership during SEA prime time is sometimes 2 to 3 times larger than their viewership during North America prime time for example. This has been consistent since their debut.

Actually, not a numberfag here but I can sadly confirm that that retardation is true. I have Youtube premium on my main account and I checked with small indie streams to see if my view was counted; it wasn't. Opened my second non-premium account, and opened the same stream. Viewer count went up.
I have since canceled my premium subscription. It's genuinely one of the most retarded things I've seen in my life.

Pretty sure specifically Vox and Mysta have not been affected. The theory is that because they don't have membership emotes to spam, new viewers aren't being marked as bots on their channel for now. This is combined with the fact that they attracted a new market (SEA fujo coomers) and some JP fujos too. The other males may or may not have been affected, but I'm too lazy to remember on their part.
