idk but the takodachi is definitely the most marketable. Its the perfect blend of simple yet instantly identifiable. Its a shame the IP is wasted with cover because if Ina had it she could probably make a killing with merch.

I'm a Teamate but I'll admit the tako is the cutest and is a fantastic design. I wanted to buy one of the plushies and probably would have if they had the official hololive store back then with the cheaper shipping.

I think there was a clip where miko(?) was explaining that they had to pay for their own creative projects like original MVs but Hololive covered costs for projects they originated. I would assume its the same for merch, where if one were so inclined they could put out goods and take both the up-front risk of production and a sizeable cut of the final sales.

IIRC, they have two options.
They cover all the costs themselves, but keep all of the profits. Or have Cover do all the logistics and cost, but they keep like 90% of the earnings.

I know flare wanted to de chink herself, and she looks cute now, but I kinda liked her little panda thing over the generic bird things she got with her update.
