They don't care about the state of vtubing. They care about capitalizing on market inefficiencies and, because they're not vtubers, they're relatively blind to the potential consequences on the ground that may result from their own actions.
This is the problem with administrative bloat. The further the decision makers are from product creation and distro ution, the more out of touch their decisions will seem simply because they ARE out of touch. It's a feature of corporate expansion, not a bug. This is also why public ownership of a country has a bad reputation, as it allows randos with more money than business sense to buy significant ownership stakes and fuck with internal policies that were put in place exactly because they grease the wheels of the company's internal office politics.
Money often coincides with competence, but is a correlation rather than a causation. See: the lottery winners who pissed away their money. Just having money doesn't mean someone is competent unless that money is hard earned, or they've shown a record of making decent decisions and investments with significant sums of capital.
