During the Aloe situation, he mistranslated what she said and was struck by Cover. As a result. the main moderator of the Hololive subreddit, who is also Cover staff, basically said that they weren't going to allow his clips to be posted there for the foreseeable future. He used to make a lot more mistakes with his translations and whenever anyone pointed this out, he blocked them or deleted their comment. There was also an incident where, If I can recall correctly, Miko showed her Steam profile info on accident. Otakmori clipped it, Miko privated the VOD, and Cover struck his clip again. He was pretty unapologetic, saying he would've removed it if Cover had contacted him, and so it made a lot of people angry. Finally, like many clippers, he uses a lot of misleading clickbait in his thumbnails and titles.
Overtime, he's become a lot better at translation (I'm N4 by the way, so don't listen to retarded EOPs who all say he's shit but don't even know any Japanese). He also translates a lot of moments that other clippers don't, either because they don't feel it's important or they refuse to translate it because they have this sense of superiority and think doing so might make the talent look bad or be taken out of context or something. I really can't stress this last part enough. There are a ton of instances where clippers, mostly SEA, refuse to translate something because they feel they are some sort of paragon of the company and need to uphold the girl's honor or some bullshit. They have this inflated sense of ego where they think they are protecting the girls by not translating certain things they say. These delusions are almost exclusive to SEA clippers.
He's become one of the highest subscribed clip channels for Hololive, with multiple talent favoriting his videos, including Laplus. The majority of people who hate him are either from reddit and remember the Aloe incident, SEAnigs that love drama and piling on others, or retarded EOP that still think his translation quality is terrible, even though they wouldn't be able to tell the difference.
He's an egotistical ESL asshole with very little self-awareness or tact. But because he refuses suck Cover's dick, he also translates things others won't.
