I think you're basing the assumption against the best songs on Hololive which isn't the norm. At best, it's about doing average compared to a JP original song. Probably doing better than most JP covers that didn't take off. Aki's Shaylls took over a year to even get to 1 million views. Even Umisea took I think over 3 months to get to 1 million. There's probably a lot of EN, JP, ID, and Holostar originals and covers to go through to give you a more accurate assessment on where it places but I think I can say that if it's over 1 million before it reaches one month of release, it's doing better than 50-60% of the Hololive songs cover or original out there.

You have a point but I don't think it's unreasonable to put this song up against the even just the best in HoloMyth. It's the first real group original song that isn't just a Halloween gimmick plus it has to be compared to every other song release that Gura has been a part of.
These two factors combined means I had a high bar going into it for the first time
