So is there a worry that there will be oversaturation or is this more of a who cares because the girls are footing the bill and it required minimal investment to the parent company or what? Cause it seems like there are a fuck ton of vtubers now and only a few are super popular

Unironically, if they really want to making money and oversaturation has already happen than they will start to innovate like crazy in order to tap any uncharted niches not just stay in their comfort zone since they won't be able to foot their bill if they don't do that

They're oversaturating as a result of not having good analytics or understanding when it comes to the market. It's a zerg rush strategy. For the individual viewer, there only needs to be one high quality vtuber with good production values. The issue is that everyone has their own tastes, which is why they're pumping out as many as possible.

The problem is that they're not properly differentiating, which leads to canniblization of market share. This is why the shadowbans arc affected a huge swath of Vtubers, because a huge portion of their viewerbase come from the exact same behavioral segment of the entire market.

This is the value of specialization. Having an exclusive market all to yourself provides some insulation from collapses in the general market.

I do wonder about it. The youtube ccv bug has screwed up any analysis so far, but I do wonder about HoloX's effects on the rest of hololive. I feel like they don't really fulfill any niche, so they likely just siphoned viewers from other holos.

A lot of mounting factors and some stupid bitch demeanor/mistakes on his part but hating on him eventually became a huge meme with the nips (a constant "prank" was mass subbing him to milestones and then mass unsubbing) but that has pretty much died down, it's been like 4 years since he debuted. Other than that he is just a very dull streamer.
