If you're planning on permanently immigrating be aware that once that is known YOU will be the outcast in some circles. They treat white tourists very well, but immigrants is another story, you are the invader, the 'shitskin' so to speak. Be prepared to be discriminated against with no recourse and be aware of the places that do and do not accept gaijin (and you will forever be a gaijin no matter what your residency status is).
I like weeb shit that comes from there, but Japan as a society has plenty of issues, many for foreign migrants, yes even white migrants. If its just yellow fever that's driving you get a nice asian american woman or East Asian immigrant.
If you just really love the anime then wait til this settles down (not like you're gonna be moving there with this all going on anyways) and take vacations a few times a year, if you have the leeway then make them extended vacations.
