When she first started she only streamed once a week to accommodate her high school schedule. They were also 3D studio only streams. Everyone was new back then so there were a lot of directions on where streaming would go. Sora's "gimmick" was being a live virtual high schooler that you could interact with (rather than pre-recorded content like Ai). If you watch her really old content it's rather interesting, it has an atmosphere like helping the theater kids out by giving them acting prompts. The Valentine's day ones were a really good example of this. Chat threw in stuff like "act out as a starving girl giving away chocolates despite being hungry herself," and "recover a box of chocolate that you dropped in the river." When the 2D revolution started she kept up with a big weekly streams rather than participate in the more frequent livestream stuff. In fact she didn't fully swap over until the pandemic forced her home. She probably would rather fancy herself as a stage performer too. In 2018-2020 she would pretty much attend every single major v-tuber performance (With Tubeout 1 probably cementing Hololive as a "idol" company
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ImARgZkRg-I). It wasn't restricted to concerts either, she was a frequent visitor to other Old Guard live events. TV interviews, that Vtuber show, her own drama series, the list rolls on. Even some weird stuff like being a guest weathergirl for a weather station with it's own Vtuber. If there was an event that involved multiple organizations and 3D that needed a Hololive representative, Sora would probably be there. Her personality also simply translates poorly for the modern streaming audience, she's overly grounded and antimemes meme moments into the ground (for both her and her guests). Speaking of modern preferences, Sora is afflicted with severe motion sickness which limits her gaming library. There was even one stream where she was very audibly nauseous playing...Minecraft. She frequently mentions taking motion sickness medications before streaming. There is of course the Japanese autism kicking in in both directions, Sora's rather shy and don't want to impose on anyone, and the other's genuinely respect her for what she did and don't want the bother her.
