Like, if someone suggests something you think is awesome, you could just go "めちゃあり" or something. ありよりのあり basically just means something like "In regard to this situation, If I had to say whether this is good (as opposed to bad), I'd say yes, it's good". ありよりのなし would be the opposite ".. I'd say no, it's bad". With なし in front it just reverses the "premise", so なしよりのなし is the worst permutation: "In regard to this situation, If I had to say whether this is bad (as opposed to good), I'd say yes, it's bad". It's basically a gradual scale to evaluate a situation/thing in terms of it being good or bad, that's all. Sounds more complicated than it is, really.
Anyway, back to the stupid crocodile. I frankly don't remember what item or whatever she was referring to when she first made the joke and I don't feel like watching the entire Biohazard video again to find the exact context where all of this originated, it seems I was wrong and that time stamp isn't actually the the very first occurrence of the joke because the chat already knows about the crocodile at this point and FBK says something about it still being embarrassing. Maybe she does it once more earlier in the video or she made up the joke in a different stream/on twitter just before this. And as I said before, the point of the alligator is just a stupid pun that she uses whenever the phrase comes up because アリゲーター contains あり. If you want to do even more research to find out where exactly it came from go ahead, but I probably wouldn't bother for a month old twitter post.
