Nijis don't get paid a salary by Anycolor so they stream more to make their SC and adsense revenue. Holos get monthly paychecks.

Cover and Anycolor have different business models. Hololive talents are classed as employees of Cover and thus by law they need to be payed a salary. Where as Nijis are not treated as employees but as independent contractors so they don't get a salary. To make up for this lack of regular pay Niji talents will have to do more streams for their moneys.

Holos get a base salary and they get a 30% cut of the YT earnings. Plus profit shearing from their merch etc. So its foreseeable that if you have a good month then you can get more money than the CEO. Otherwise if you want to just be lazy and not stream then you still get paid a actual salary you can live on. Why do you think holos like Ayame can get away with streaming just once a month or take a month off just because their dog died.

Don't forget Ayame. She's practically the Gilzaren of Hololive at this point. Some folks don't use Twitch but most regular streamers there will stream daily and for several hours each day.
