Twitch thots and instagram/tiktok girls have ruined the perception of female streamers in the west.

V-tubers can't get carried by their body and looks. They can have a "cute waifu" avatar but at the end of the day, they have to talk and entertain, have to play a fun character or have personality.

They can't just sit on their phone in yoga pants and a bra while the donations from coomers come in.
If you think about it, becoming a successful V-tuber is just about as hard as becoming a successful male streamer. You can't be boring.

Would argue that pokimane/valkyrae are thot-ish and are carried by their looks a lot. Same goes with LuLu.
Pretty girl half decent Apex but gets insane views all the while being boring. If she were a guy, no way she would get that many views in Apex category.
As example I would give streamer named GuhrL. I would say better at the game, is just about as boring, but a Plain Jane. Ends up with 1/10th of the viewership.

Very true, but just like twitch thots I also avoid v-tubers that do this. Top v-tubers are always going to be the entertaining ones and not the ones farming coomers.
