I only have a problem with it being done serially. If your old oshi was never truly perfect for you and the new one is everything you want, then it's fine. Though I have never stopped focusing on the first oshi I've ever had and I don't think that'll change

They all start out mentally unstable but can't hide it well when they need to perform in front of large audiences. They can't take an extended amount of time off so they stream the minimal amount while seeking therapy and trying to get past burn out.

They also have problems go on in their life, pets die, family die, and have to hide it the best they can, mourn at specific times instead of for a month or so, and slowly go insane. It's the same for any entertainment career.
