He used Hololive as an example that if you get into there, you've already got a pre-installed fanbase of (going by Sana's numbers) at least 250,000 subscribers which would make failure harder, so would give people more incentive to lie on the applications to try and get into a generation, and get enough of a pre-installed fanbase and money that it would be impossible to fail even if you had zero actual talent.
Ironmouse does point out that while it's his opinion, he's also an idiot for thinking the audition process would literally just be them looking at the CVs and picking the best 5 and that there wouldn't be more stages to the auditions process to find the ones that do have the spark and talent they're looking for. But Connor just gets salty and doubles down harder by insisting he was just trying to start a discussion point that nobody wants to have (about lying on CVs?), because he's like Mori in that despite all the "heh, I ain't even mad" bravado he puts on you can see how mad he actually gets by criticism.
He's never said anyone specifically in Hololive has no talent. The worst he's said is that other than Ironmouse, he doesn't really watch vtubers because he doesn't "get it" and thinks the streams would be the same with a live cam rather than a 2D avatar. Because you have to remember that Connor is only an ironic weeb who basically only likes Jojo and HxH, and hates anything else that's popular.
