Whys isnt there an alternative to Vroid studio? Its would be easy for a a video game developer to convert any game that has a create-a-character function into an easy vtuber avatar creator ?

They'd still have integrate VR/AR into the game/engine, and there's a shit-ton of different ways to do that, all of which take time and effort. Maybe once OpenXR implementations become common we'll see more "vtuber in a box" apps.

the software was buggy and not designed around livestreaming whatsoever. it was made to save time getting general animations down that'd you'd go in later and tweak. when they expect you to have to record each part of the face individually and shit it's not going to be great for outputting final products.

It's quite simple, adobe character animator is a shit program with quite a limited toolset, it can't do much. Cubism live 2d is just focused on one thing and does it better than any other competitor( at least if we compare it to something like spine which is more game focused) and As most of Adobes software made after cc started

That artstyle does not translate well to a Live2D avatar. Turning the head around with just deformers would be a nightmare. How many vtubers have big, detailed noses?

Don't get me wrong, it's totally possible, but the amount of work required compared to a regular anime model is hard to justify.
