to be fair on the shitty managers, maybe they're afraid of "easy access" though.
For example. if you see gorgeous art on /vt/, you wouldn't search the art tags just to like the original tweet, right? What you'd do is probably wait until some anon gives link to the post, or ask for a link yourself. That's more convenient. We all choose to do easy stuff and walk the path of the "least resistance".
Same thing with what you said. Kiara mentions Pomu, but there's no change in Pomu's numbers. Because KFP are too lazy to actually search the name on youtube. But once a collab happens, there will be a lot less mental resistance in them to simply click the link that's directly below the title that goes to Pomu's channel. Especially because once a collab happens, they might enjoy what Pomu says or how she acts, and they'll be much more likely to subscribe. Compared to a simple passing mention from Kiara, a collab is a different thing entirely.
