There are two big issues in this whole situation.
First, Connor's statement is undefendable from the standpoint of someone who's associated with Hololive, be it a talent, staff or a fan. Even if you accept the argument that he didn't mean any current members (which is likely, let's not deny that), it seriously questions the capabilities of the hiring staff vetting out liars in the hiring process. The fact that he has someone who went through the process and he still brought up Hololive as an example is not helping either. A public apology would suffice here.
The second, and bigger problem is that Mori is incapable of letting it go, and the longer this situation goes on, the bigger chance it impacts not just her, but her genmates and the company overall as well. The first SC that brought this up was handled pretty poorly and instead of moving on, she's continuing to feed the trolls by giving them attention. The whole situation has also impacted her content output, both in quantity and quality, which is undesirable. Again, an apology to the viewers (and her colleagues, considering it has reached multiple of them already) would do her well, to reassure everyone that she's on the side of her company.
>>17163399>The absolute best thing that a company like hololive could ever hope for is to get someone who can reach a different audience that can be assimilated into the existing audienceHere, now it's correct. Now ask yourself if the anituber audience is worth getting into Hololive.
