That's why 3D is done in studios with multiple Holos appearing together. It's for stuff like Subaru and Ui singing and dancing together and getting to make a cute heart-shape with hands. Or Watame to make a shocked expression when she see's Aki's pantsu. Some girls basically just use 3D models even at home like the Gen 0 people but if you notice, their basic streams are pretty much no different from 2D people. The reason the girls (apart from Ame who just hates 2D) want 3D is because of the overall 3D experience, not to check a box. 3D means they can perform together, everyone getting 3D at home means they can have a VR experience together (which they already do). Even if Hololive just built an overseas studio, it would only make sense in ID where everyone could gather there. In EN, none of the members can even physically meet each other with or without a studio. The only person who will ever fully take advantage of 3D in EN is Irys.
