Any girl in her position would see getting into Hololive as a once in a lifetime opportunity, and even if she didn't understand idol culture or was unfamiliar with it the logical thing to do would be to learn and do your best. Rrats are plentiful, but the bottom line is that we, the audience, are highly supportive and understanding of the girls. Scuff happens, tech issues happen, life throws you a curveball - all of us and especially older guys like me understand that sometimes shit just happens and that you can't stream, or the stream goes to shit. It's completely different with Mori. She clearly simply isn't interested and cut out to be a vtuber and she made that perfectly clear from day one, but unlike someone with common sense who'd realize that "Holy shit, I have fans who support me and this is actually a sweet gig, I should do my best!" Mori went in a completely opposite direction. She isn't interested in the kind of fame and popularity vtubing gets you. She wants to be famous for who she really is, face front and center like a Hollywood actor or a common singer. What she failed to realize is that in vtubing your true, actual personality is amplified and magnified, and that because of that her "true self" is blatant and obvious to everyone.
The only time I saw Mori actually be good was during the TTRPG streams, and that only made her other streams look even worse by comparison because it was clear she had a total lack of interest in them. A simple example for me personally was her
slither.io stream. I love that game and used to play it during my downtime all the time. It also makes for great vtubing content and can result in funny reactions and shenanigans. It's a simple, fun game. Other chuubas played it too. Mori somehow made it boring as shit and she just went through the motions. Then, the perpetual scuff and not testing shit. The number of failed collabs with her genmates is huge because this woman never tested if games would actually work, like with her Cuphead stream with Gura. This is all well before the current yabs. I stopped watching her entirely after all that. Even the brief windows when she was "good" that opened before this clusterfuck just makes this all the worse.
She is genuinely stupid, entitled, has an overinflated ego and a visceral contempt for vtubing and the entire culture. She completely squandered her reputation and an opportunity other girls would kill for. There will be no going back to a new career in rapping or whatever else she chooses to do, because regardless of the industry word spreads, and her unprofessional conduct makes her out to be a liability on top of being unreliable. The only thing she managed to do with her golden opportunity was to show everyone how bad of a person she is and that she can't be trusted. Now, imagine how her genmates feel and how Council feels, or general vtubers as a whole, corporate or indie. They put in the effort, the work, are familiar and respectful of the culture and are trying their best. Think about Myth in particular. Mori's actions SHAT on Myth and on the girls discipline, work, effort and professionalism. By doing what she did Mori is devaluing all that to her faces, and I'm betting my balls that we'll never get to see just how much resentment this has caused. Mori has definitely made enemies of OTHER WOMEN, not us (the male audience), and on top of that women who supported her and defended her multiple times, and shilled her on their own streams etc.
And all this is just without going into the current situation with Connor, the cuck art, the perpetual and still deepening yab. Don't pity Mori. She's a lolcow that brought this onto herself through sheer stupidity. She managed to completely obliterate the Holo bubble that shielded her and there's nothing to do not but to try and limit the damage she does while she circles the drain. The moment she's out of Hololive she'll fade into obscurity and become a nobody. And the sooner that happens the better, for the good of Hololive and western vtubing as a whole.
