it's kinda like how germany views ww2 but only externally. internally they don't seem to care nearly as much as the germans, and they allow defense of their actions.
i mean these are the same people who are allies with the people they got nuked by twice. doesn't take a genius to figure out they're not exactly proud of that time period.
