>>1786836>Why would a chink company hire a malay for their first talent? Doesn't make any senseThat actually make more sense than saying she's a chinese. The fact she is comfortable enough to do full Malay stream with perfect Johor-Riau dialect, is comfortable enough to speak Bahasa with HoloID, other Indo vtubers and even did a Bahasa challenge with Moona, her English has a tinge of Malay dialect, knows Malay and Indo inside jokes and acts like a Malay weeb really screams the fact that she's highly likely a Malay. I don't think a Chinese Malaysian is comfortable to do all of that except a Malay since Indo natives are basically their cousins. Plus, it is not uncommon for urban Malays to know Mandarin, which is something that Lili has shown to somehow capable at. Chinese being able to speak perfect Johor Riau dialect, and comfortable enough to speak Bahasa with Indo streamers, however, is extremely rare.
Lili could've been the CEO's uni classmate, or his friends, or his acquintance in Malaysian AMG scene, which are all possible in Malaysia. My Malay friend is partnered with his chinese best friend for business, and some of the big companies in Malaysia were also founded by Malay-Chinese bestfriends, so it's not that rare tbf.
