The noise will overwhelm the signal. You, the actual member, are just the same as whoever happens to have a membership at that moment. People who are neither invested nor truly interested enough in Gura to support her, but sure as fuck can spam emotes and and post TuT.
Then there's the potential for spamming and trolling raids and so on. It all comes back to the fact there is no reason to be a member at that point, and that there is no members only content either. It's all just the same like a regular stream. The divide between Gura and her members becomes insurmountable because there are no more actual, true members. And as a result there is no more Gura who opens up a bit more, or is more intimate, or relaxed enough to be silly or share something personal. Her more experimental streams are then also gone, be it dino Gura karaoke or her playing the ukulele, and something legendary like the gardening or cooking streams just becomes a fiction. Why would she even bother trying? For whom? Again, there are no genuine members at this point, just "chat" like in the regular streams with all the bullshit that entails. Why and HOW could she be more authentic and relaxed? It just becomes impossible. You are no longer a valued member who likes her so much he actively supports her, but the same like Rashneed Rajputani who stumbled into the stream with no other reason that to ask a female to show bob and vegana.
The whole ordeal will just trivialize and sterilize her content, and remove any incentive to put in an effort for a good members stream OR just talk to us in a comfy zatsu. Both of those things just become impossible. Even if the whole thing gets bumped up and members only becomes available to a second tier members, it still means that Google is fleecing us in a cynical, amoral way - pay more for the content you already had. The whole thing just reeks of bullshit and is offensive to the actual fans and disrespectful to the chuuba. And it gets worse when you think about girls like Gura and others who are always a bit subdued and nervous around too many people (outsiders).
Fuck Youtube, fuck Google, and fuck Cover if they're too stupid to see how fucked up this is and how it harms their own talents and fans. Vtubers ARE NOT "general streamers" like say pewdiepie or whoever the fuck. How do they not understand this?
