It really depends on the VN, it needs to be decently fast paced to be a watchable stream. I probably wouldnt watch a stream of any VN I played myself either.

I like VNs, but they're not good for streaming. I'd watch only if I wanted to see how the vtuber reacts to a game that I already played.

IF it's not a 60+ hour slice of life garbage.
Unfortunately most of the good VN are banned on youtube.
Short ones are decent.

you aren't playing the game anyway, it's like reading a story with your oshi reading the lines. Bonus points if they voice act the lines.

Ehhh, for all intents and purposes DDLC is one of those short rpgmaker indie horror games, it's just done using RenPy. He probably means actual full length VNs.
