>>17698666There are two options
>1"The hand that feeds them" refers to the fans that feed the chubas with their money, and the fact that the fans have a knife means they are threatening the streamers to obey them or they will retaliate by leaving
>2"the hand that feeds them" refers to the streamers feeding the fans with content, and them holding the knife gives them the power to smack down their chat if they do something they don't like.
Now, both of these are valid statements normally. Fans have a say in what the streamers' content should be, as they are paying customers (Inb4 "streamers aren't obliged to do anything" argument; most of the time they feel they have to, so the effect is the same). On the other hand, streamers should have the ability to choose to stream what they like, and keep their chat in line if they misbehave too much.
That is all well and good, however, concidering Calli's past quarrels with her chat (not referring to the recent Cucknor drama, but the Gura-Gigguk collabs drama way back, as well as backlash from TT interactions), I do not believe she wrote these lyrics lightheartedly and in good faith. If the meaning is that of >1, it would mean Calli is portraying herself as a powerless victim to gather pity points. In the case of >2, she lives a "fuck you I do what I want so either endure it or fuck off" kind of power fantasy. Cuckbeats will excuse either scenario, of course.
>but what about GuraGura is literally just there for the ride; she found a friend in Calli and is just happy to have some collab activities happening, while being big enough to ignore any backlash
