You act like you can only be addicted if it's a drug. Parasocial relationships are, in general principle, a form of addiction. These lonely people are addicted to the affection, attention, and general relationship-type behavior that these GFE streamers exhibit. They can't just "take responsibility" and dump her cold turkey without feeling like complete shit and suffering from withdrawal symptoms. GFE stands for "girlfriend experience", remember?
