>>17895862At one point it was true that the most successful members by a large margin were the ones that pandered to JPs - Yuya, Roha, Bora, Nagi. Bora was the biggest obviously but existed in a vacuum completely separate from the rest of the branch. There was a swing last year with more and more started members starting using Japanese and it's been more mixed - some like Nari have moved up to being some of the bigger members, others like Siu and Jiyu saw increases after increasing JP frequency (Jiyu switched to JP primary after the baseball stuff) while others like Yami never really captured many Japanese viewers.
There's also the English viewer group... Siu tried to cater to them during her debut because she didn't know Japanese but knew some English due to living overseas for a period without much success. Similar situation with Hari except she's actually fluent at English. Chiho going viral, Hada and EN debuting brought in some more English speakers but it's been mostly confined to the ones that have interacted with EN - Seffyna, Ha Yun, Suha. Roha, Nagi, Mia, Kiru, Gaon and Yami had all tried without much success. Haru saw a brief EN incline after the international Among Us but they pumped and dumped her. Siu started using a little more English after Hada, mostly on Twitter or in collabs with her, but never really tried on her own streams.
