I don't "hate" them, I don't want them to graduate anything, it's rather... I feel pretty much nothing at all for them. In some ways that's even worse, because they can't even elicit any emotional reaction from me. Every time when I reminded they actually exist (so, pretty much only when one of them collabs with a girl I actually care about), I just go "...oh yeah, Council also exists, huh... anyway..."
They don't really bring anything particularly unique and meaningful to the table that furthers and expands the Hololive group. What memorable qualities or talents do they have? Sana can apparently draw professionally, well that's nice, we already have Ina, and Sana draws so little it might as well be nothing. Fauna does non-meme ASMR, huh great we actually didn't have that in HoloEN before... but too bad, her actual ASMR skill is actually just average to meh at best, so another strike-out. What are Baelz's talents? Being loud and speaking japanese? Wow we totally didn't have anyone in Myth that does that already. What does Mumei bring to the table? Uwu-voiced airhead with a gremlin side? yay another original contribution that doesn't remind me of anyone in Myth that does that better. What can Kronii do? A deep-voiced autismo dork, huh it's not like we have one of those in Myth also (but tbf to Kronii, at least compared to her Myth counterpart she doesn't do cringe rap and actively tries to bring external cancer into Hololive, no she's "just" lazy).
This was supposed to be the generation after the blowout success that was Myth, that builds upon and expands their strength, and I was really excited to think about what amazing unique outstanding talents Cover would scout and bring in, after all with Myth's proven popularity, lots of really talented people must've applied and...
Then what we got was... this. Again, they're not even especially "bad", they're just... meh. They really exposed the "Cover has the best scouting in the industry!" meme because out of all the thousands of people vying for the spots, THOSE five unimpressive people are the one the agency picks? What's going on? Alternatively, if those really WERE the "best" ones available, this leaves me really dreading the shallow ENvtuber talent pool for future generations, but looking at how there are at least a dozen girls in the other small startup corpos that are objectively miles better quality than Council, it's really not that and more on Cover scouting fucking it up.
