Companionship? maybe a little, there's something nice about a psudo-social situation that requires zero obligation on my part that i can leave at any time
Sexual gratification? not streams but some of the fanart is nice
Something else? karaoke and watch-a-longs were something i didn't know i wanted till i got them, otherwise probably the fanworks that it's spawned e.g. holofightz

Companionship.
I'm a shut-in who works from home and doesn't have family so my social options are limited. It's comforting just listening to them talk. I appreciate that, for the large part, they keep their noses out of controversial topics or drama so I can just be comfy without worrying about the state of things.
