Why? Because they're aware they won't get obsessive fans that donate lots of money, they won't make their audience emotionally dependent to them, yet they still stream because they're happy entertaining their audience and nothing else.
Someday I'll stop watching vtubers, or maybe not, but I'll appreciate the moments I spent laughing at her antics like a good memory.
