Let me try to make it simple for the normies. People that become gachi normally don't have many other options to choose from. This is the way many choose to make them be able to trough their shitty jobs and weeks. Some have friends and family, others even a GF or BF but they go in the whole show cause none of those can actually be there for them like an virtual anime girl can.

There are people out there that the best thing that ever happened to their lives was rushia or the who fucked up of the moment is. There is no salvation to these people, there are no one that cares about them and before you go full on "ThEy sHoLd WoRk HaRdEr" some people just want to go trough live and have a safe place to tune in and feel like everything is going to be okay. This is not wrong.
