Maybe I'm just dumb but like, am I the only one who finds this roleplay that both the Hololive Vtubers and their fans have to do in order to pretend that they're literal 100% 2D people and there is no such thing as a real person behind the avatar? It just comes off so cringey and weird and there's no way anyone doing it actually believes it other than as pure cope.
So why do it? If you're so desperate to maintain the illusion, just...pretend it's not real. I mean, you LITERALLY watch these girls do IRL cooking streams and shit with their real hands, so obviously you're somehow fucking capable of forcing yourself to believe that because they wear gloves, there actually might be an anime girl under there, and ejecting the notion that they're a real person in a real house, so why not just do it for this shit too?
