it creates a culture of going and looking for private information illegally to get attention and Yous. which exposes 4chan to liability and possible litigation from victims. 4chan has to at least put on the face of a platform that doesn't ignore illegal activity by users.

What if it's confined to info and pictures that the vtubers themselves have uploaded to the internet? I can see why it coupd become a problem if it results in real life stalking though.

Couldn't it be argued that "the person behind the avatar" is inseparable from the Vtuber themselves? If something happens to the "irl" individual, then the Vtuber will almost certainly be impacted. Why can't such content be discussed, at least in it's own thread (for example, a /meta/ thread)?
