I loved pre-world bow, but I don't like what it became in World.

I always been Sword and Shield main. And no, I don't think oil was that interesting. I don't like buffs that just add numbers. World giving it jump attacks and eventually the over the top combo in Iceborne was fun.

Well, it's the same anon as before, but yes, it's true. Even just the lower time limit is proof enough.If you want the details, the demo also used fixed gear, the armor has no skills and the attack/defense you get from it is usually lower than you'd have normally when fighting a monster like that.

I tried to like COH2, but they had card loadouts that you had to grind and they gave benefits between matches. That was a deal breaker for me. I want my purist RTS without a grinding mini-game for stats/benefits/options.

I was a huge Brood War fag... enough to jumpstart the Starcraft club for my university.

Yep, coh 2 turned into microtransaction hell, even bought a few of the commanders. I played warcraft back in the day, but I still think Coh 1 is one of the best rts games of all time.

Aquautism spilled bigly when she couldn't start the game. She used to stream a lot of MHW too. It's just her goal-oriented playstyle. From PC gaijin perspective Luna streams might be more valuable experience.

Maybe it's just me, but MHW on PC felt full of people modding and changing shit too much. Saw a lobby where everyone was wearing min-max gear while using a mod to appear like they're wearing coomer outfits, people were endlessly spider-man'ing around the map because their version of the game had the swinging vines everywhere. I know the Switch is gonna struggle with framerates, but I'm not gonna get it on the PC this time.

Different anon, but I'm just grabbing it on the Switch full well knowing the worst frames and having to shell out a few bucks to Nintendo. My Switch has been mostly collecting dust for the pat few months, and I love the ability to play games in the laziest spots (bed, couch, etc). I know at least two friends that are getting it, so it's more than justified for me.

I think the game is good, and not the worst to start playing the saga, Luna is super happy with it, given they will be releasing small free DLC montly the game may live for long, and eventually the G version will come out as expansion so give it a shoot

World is perfectly fine. I won't go into specifics about why it kind of peters out in the end but if you pick it up and just play at your own pace you can easily sink 200+ hours before you feel done with it. If you do get it and iceborne, the only thing I would recommend is not using the defender equipment that they give you because its a lot stronger than anything you could normally have, and early game getting attack pieces is perfectly fine.
