>references one of Amelia's favourite games, portal2>in that game, the narrator comments that when life gives you lemons - you give them back. so clearly, it's gura giving a symbolic gesture to ame that she's ready to move in together, and ready for amelia to "return the lemons" when they meet up.>lemons are yellow. yellow is amelia's colour. cookie icing = sweet. lemons = sour. ame can be sweet and sour, depending on her mood.>foam lemons. they're not real. this is meant to represent that amelia watson is not a real person, it's just a persona. and gura wants to get to know what's underneath - what's inside, not amelia's hololive persona.>speaking of what's inside. what else is the icing meant to represent? well, the icing is used canonically to inject sweet sugary goodness into cookie dough. instead of cookie dough however, gura gave ame lemons. the lemons, as I've said, reflect amelia's exterior, her amelia watson character itself, and its artificial personality. so gura understands that amelia wanted to start anew, by embracing this hololive persona. she could leave her past behind. however, gura is reassuring amelia that her inner self, her real being, is the truly "sweet" person in her life. she should stop having a conflict of personality, and embrace her true self. because that's the side gura fell in love with, and wants to be with, forever.>and finally, the original quote in portal 2 was meant to represent a drive and motivation to persevere, to not give up, even in the face of hardship. gura knows that SHE died on amelia's actual birthday - and that it's a very depressing day for her. no doubt amelia's hololive birthday reminded her of that day, and it was partly why amelia wanted to adopt that new birthday and persona as her own - to leave those memories behind. regardless, gura is telling amelia that even in such a time of hardship, of pain, of struggle, don't give up. don't lose hope, and:>>Get mad! Demand to see life's manager!don't ostracize and repress your feelings of rage. embrace them. channel them. use them to guide, motivate, and propel you towards new heights. and if you are ever lost, gura will be there for you. every step of the way.
when hololive has reached it's terminal deathbed, and all its talents have moved on with their lives.. gura will be there for you, amelia. not for your hololive character, but for YOU. the sweet, cookie icing in the artificial, inauthentic lemon.
and why is gura doing this? because, amelia was there for her. when gura was depressed, an alcoholic, amelia told her:
