Before you go something like "she doesn't know the weapon so it's normal!" those are like basic features which have been in MH for a long time, other than the alternate charges.
She is better than Aqua for sure but calling her a veteran is quite the exaggeration.

The JP audience will probably eat it up, but 20 minute boss fights where you need to chase a monster around the same locations between hitting it with the same attack over and over while it barely flinches is going to turn off a lot of western viewers.

All of them are bad at it, even Luna who has played previous MHs. And I'm an autistic tryhard in these games who's idea of fun consists of optimizing every single thing, from armor set to what moves to use at what time, and gets unreasonably angry at seeing people play badly.
So I'll just not tune in to any Rise streams and hope they'll have fun with it. If they manage to get 4-way collabs they'll have a blast.
