Not 100% sure on the flat fee, but whatever it is, its not nearly as much as cover. DESU im not sure VShojo really counts as indie.
One of Veis new models (her Live2d) is being drigged by the same person who did Coco's recent one, she payed less than her so its been delayed by like 3 months. IIRC she said the new model is costing her around $4500 after its rigged.
Outside of Japan, i think being contracted with Cover is a loss rather than a gain. Limited on what content you can publish and your options of what games, or what you can show for that matter are severely hampered.
