Her neighbor couldn't have known the LINE of her ex-colleague unless the one was pretty close to her. And if so, he/she would’ve been already suspected as a culprit to begin with.

However, since the town she lives in is not so populated, there is no way the police need two years to finish the investigation, knowing the culprit’s IP unless they are extremely incompetent. Even seven month is too long imo.
