Character has a great design and it gets ruined by an unfitting voice.
It kills one of the main charms vtubers have, the immersion and suspension of disbelief for the characters.
In the same way you wouldn't hire a smoker on his late 30's to voice a 10 years old girl in a movie or anime, because no one would be able to "believe" the character, you wouldn't do it for a vtuber, whose characterizaton relys heavily on their voice.Even indie babanikus put more effort by using voice changers or doing their best at faking a voices to fit better with the character they are playing.
I this kind of casting doesn't become a trend on big companies.
