>>19302460Not to make fun of religion, or yours in particular (which I don't know about and I assure you it's best to keep it secrer in these boards), but Vtubing and Idol Culture took some advice from big religions and cultist behavior to keep their masses in check and ensuring they'd get their attention.
Check the BITE model of authoritarian control. There are quite some similarities between what vtubing companies, specially hololive, do to get loyal fanbases.
Particularly, check the T (thought control) and E (Emotional control), and you'll see that this cult-like behavior is part of why they're succesful, and once you realize it you should tone it down. I won't say you should cut it from your life, because it brings you joy, but be aware that you're being manipulated into behaving in a certain way that may not be too good for you in the long run. I did that even to my oshi picrel because I was in a bad place and guilt towarda not doing enough for them made it worse. I'm now at the point I can enjoy this hobby in a healthy way.
Also, funnily enough, the gachis and schizos literally try to impose B, Behaviour control, on their Oshis. That's why I despise them, and the beginning of the Mori/Rushia drama proved I was correct in those assumptions.
