Using Hololive tags or Nijisanji tags is fine in my opinion if it helps indies get exposure and you remove them after your channel's large enough to sustain itself.
As an indie it's really fucking hard and you gotta do whatever it takes to succeed as long as it's not fucking over someone else. Nobody is harmed by using Hololive tags, Hololive members will still show up in the searches and recommendations because of viewers clicking them 100x more often.
Wish my favorite indie vtubers would catch on to this tactic to help grow their channels. Some of these girls spend over a year creating high quality content and don't even break 5k subs, it's fucking sad and they deserve better.
